We introduced Merida as early as 1987, as one of the first off-road brands on the Norwegian market. 17 years later Merida is one of the most powerful producers of mountainbikes in the world, and amongst the largest brands in Norway. In 2004 we sold more than 50.000 bicycles, and we are among the market leaders within bikes in Norway. We also involve ourselves in Norwegian cycle-sport and sponsor several Norwegian cyclists and is also the main sponsor for the bike races Birkebeinerrittet and Den Store Styrkeprøven.
You will find Merida in the country’s leading bike-shops, from Lindesnes furthest south, to Spitzbergen way up north. An effective distribution without expensive middlemen means that you always get a lot of bike for your money when you buy Merida.

She writes articles herself, which then are published in Coop’s membership magazine. Gunn-Rita often visits Coop’s many stores around the country to advise Coop’s customers and employees.
